Rod Scavenger Caught Demolishing Uncompleted 2-Bedroom Apartment for Scrap Iron

In a shocking incident captured on video, a scavenger was caught red-handed dismantling an uncompleted two-bedroom apartment in an attempt to extract and sell iron rods for money. The incident, which has gone viral online, has sparked outrage and concern over growing cases of property vandalism.

According to the voice behind the camera, the man had been working on the building for two consecutive days, undetected, and had already harvested a significant amount of iron before being caught. The video shows sections of the structure visibly compromised, with exposed rods pulled out from walls and pillars.

Residents in the area expressed disbelief over the boldness of the act, questioning how such destruction could continue for days without intervention. “He practically brought down half of the building,” one observer commented.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement, but the incident has reignited calls for tighter security around construction sites and unoccupied properties. With the rising cost of building materials, incidents of scavenging and theft at uncompleted sites have become increasingly common, posing a serious threat to property owners and developers.

The suspect’s identity and whether legal action will follow remain unclear as investigations continue.
