Nigeria Police Academy Cadet Died of Negligence by the Authority

A report has it that AS Jika , One of the students newly admitted into the institution of Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State, died in the early hours of today.

According the report, 20 year old, AS Jika, who was in the Department of Computer Science, hail from Adamawa State.

Jika, a 100 level student slumped in the toilet this morning and was rushed to the Academy clinic. He was left untreated, when there were no drugs and medical officers on ground to attend to him in an unconducive environment.

Also, there was a high traffic of cadets to the unequipped clinic on a result of the Commandant’s bad policies like no good food, closure of the Commandant market and laundry, unnecessary training exercise lecture hours, cadets collapsed on daily basis in training as a result of fatigue.

He succeeded in turning the police university into a mobile training school in Wudil, Kano State.

The unconfirmed report has it that the student’s death occurred mainly as a consequence of malnutrition and starvation.

Cadets were threatened by the Commandant to engaged on unwarranted training exercise, every second, many cadets are dismissed on the basis of ill health, hence many tried to manage themselves to avoid expulsion from the Academy.

The source added that many cadets were denied feeding allowance while the funds were diverted to private pockets. The concerned fellows want the Federal government to probe the activities of the authorities of the Academy.
