Man Tied Up by Wife and Sons Over Alleged Pension Money in Araromi Okofilin

The Chairman of Anjomo CDA, Emmanuel Omola, has condemned a shocking incident in Okofilin, Araromi Okofilin, where a man was allegedly tied up by his wife and sons on the night of March 13, 2025.

According to Omola, the victim had recently received a large sum of money, which he used to establish his wife’s business and purchase a Lexus Jeep. However, tensions escalated, leading to an alleged plot by the wife and children to restrain him.

After tying up her husband, the woman reportedly went to the police, claiming he was dangerous and had threatened her life. Officers instructed her to arrange transportation for police intervention. Instead, she allegedly returned with a group of Abokis, who helped restrain the man and took away some of his belongings.

A video of the incident reportedly shows the man tied up and wounded. Omola, in a voice message to The Salvo Newspaper, urged community members to respond swiftly to distress calls, warning that the attack may have been an attempt to seize the man’s recently received pension funds.
