Gov. Sanwo-Olu, Fashola, LSHA Speaker Honor Late Dr. Akinsanya Ajose at Funeral

 

Lagos, Nigeria – Dignitaries, family, and well-wishers gathered to pay their last respects to the late Dr. Akinsanya Sunny Ajose, former Head of Service of Lagos State and a respected member of the Governance Advisory Council.

The solemn funeral service was attended by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his wife Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, former Governor Babatunde Fashola, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, and several other prominent figures.

Dr. Ajose, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 78, was remembered as a dedicated public servant and a pillar of the community. With nearly 50 years of service to Lagos State, including 35 years in public service, he left an indelible mark on governance. He served as Head of Service from July 2004 to February 2006 and later as Special Adviser on Special Projects.

Governor Sanwo-Olu praised Dr. Ajose’s unwavering commitment to public service and his contributions to the growth of Lagos State, calling him “a strong community supporter and builder.”

A proud son of Badagry and a remarkable Nigerian, Dr. Ajose’s legacy continues to inspire many. His funeral brought together leaders and citizens alike to celebrate a life well-lived and a service well-rendered.
