Hard-hitting Nigerian heavyweight contender Efe Ajagba stopped Australia’s Goodall in the 4th round of their 10-round bout at Tahoe Blue Event Center in Stateline, Nevada to retain his WBC Silver belt.
Referee Tony Weeks stopped their fight 50 seconds into the 4th round because Goodall had taken too many unanswered punches. Ajagba drilled Goodall with a right hand that wobbled him in the fourth round. Sensing that Goodall was ready to go, Ajagba unloaded an array of power punches that made the referee step between them to spare Goodall from taking unnecessary punishments.

It was a sweet revenge for Ughelli native Ajagba, who got his pound of flesh, beating the Aussie who had denied him a place in the final of the Super Heavyweight event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games nine years ago.
