The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Umoru Ozigi, on Monday decorated newly-promoted officers in the Command.
According to a statement by the Command’s Deputy Public Relations Officer, ASP Eno Ikoedion, those promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), include CSP Kontongs Bello (DPO LoveWorld), CSP Moses Yamu (PPRO), CSP Ogah Gabriel (DPO Uromi), CSP Osagie Godspower (Commander Intelligence Rapid Response Squad), CSP Brown Jude (DPO Okhuiahe Division).
Those promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police include the Personal Assistant to the Edo CP, DSP Christian Akpa, former Deputy PPRO, DSP Jennifer Iwegbu and the Command’s OC Surveillance, DSP Adebayo Ayomide Adetunji.
CP Ozigi who was assisted by members of the Command’s Management Team, stated that the decoration follows the recent promotion exercise approved by the Police Service Commission.
He added that the ceremony was a testament of Police’s commitment to recognizing hard work and dedication, which
Ozigi while congratulating the newly-promoted officers, emphasized the importance of commitment and professionalism.
He charged them to redouble their efforts in ensuring the protection of lives and properties in the state.
The newly promoted officers in return assured the Command of their commitment to discharging their duties professionally.
