Judge Adjourns Case Between Rev. EMF & Rev. Shonekan Till October
There was a dramatic moment in an Ibadan courtroom today as confusion arose over the rightful legal representation of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) in an ongoing case between Rev. EMF and Rev. Shonekan.
During the proceedings, the judge sought clarity on who the officially registered Board of Trustees (BOT) members are and which lawyer is authorized to represent them. The complication arose as both Rev. EMF’s legal team and that of the registered BOT claimed to represent the church.
To avoid unnecessary conflict, the judge ruled that only the lawyer representing the original BOT, as recognized by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), could stand in for CCC. However, in the interest of peace, the court has decided to give all parties time to resolve the matter before the next hearing in October.
Insider sources suggest that crucial meetings are scheduled to take place in Magodo later this week to address the leadership dispute. Meanwhile, many are left wondering: Who are the officially registered BOT members with the CAC certificate?
As the legal battle unfolds, stakeholders await further clarification on the rightful leadership of CCC.
