President Patrice Talon of the Republic of Benin, in what is considered a bold move, has met with the leaders of the Celestial Church of Christ in Nigeria, Republic of Benin and Cote D’Ivoire, in a bid to iron out differences and bring the different factions within the fold under one umbrella.
According to a report released by Evangelist Ajala kayode ,the Media Head to Pastor EMF Oshoffa said that,the meeting, which was at the instance of the President of the Republic of Benin, President Patrice Talon, took place in Benin Republic and was attended by His Eminence, Reverend Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Reverend Pastor Benneth Akande Adeogun and C.C.C. leaders in Cote D’Ivoire, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Ackah Kouame Justin, Head of Ivory Coast and VSE Sara Sorro from Ivory Coast
He added , that the meeting, the convener, President Patrice Talon, made it clear that he was quite optimistic about the unity of the Celestial Church of Christ and would not relent until this is achieved.
C.C.C. leaders present at the meeting were also in agreement that the unity of the church is important and should be pursued. Before the meeting ended, machinery was set in motion towards achieving this and an agreement reached for similar meetings to be held regularly at dates to be picked and announced later.
