BREAKING: Nigerian Business Icon Pascal Dozie Passes Away at 85

The Nigerian financial and business community is mourning the loss of Mr. Pascal Dozie, a towering figure in the banking and telecommunications sectors, who has reportedly passed away at the age of 85.

 

Mr. Dozie was the founder and former Chairman of Diamond Bank, one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions before its merger with Access Bank in 2019. Known for his visionary leadership and business acumen, he played a crucial role in shaping the modern banking landscape in Nigeria.

 

He also served as the President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and was the Chairman of MTN Nigeria, where he oversaw significant milestones in the telecom giant’s expansion and growth across the country.

 

Respected for his integrity, professionalism, and deep commitment to Nigeria’s economic development, Mr. Dozie was regarded as a mentor and pioneer by many in the industry. He leaves behind a legacy of innovation, leadership, and service to both the public and private sectors.
