Tragedy again struck in Awka, Anambra State, when yet-to-be-identified gunmen reportedly shot dead a lecturer with the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Mr Fabian Osita Chinedu.
The incident occurred at Aroma Junction, Awka, at about 10.10 pm on Monday, December 16, 2024.
The assailants also reportedly made away with the deceased’s ash-colored Toyota Corolla 2006 model, with registration number Enugu UWN 158 AS.
Meanwhile, the Anambra State Police Command says it has commenced investigation into the tragic incident.
The Command’s spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement directed anyone with useful information that can aid the investigation to volunteer such to the Command.
